Get Involved

YES offers a wide range of short and long-term volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups. Whether you want to spend time reading with our youth, assisting with homework, or even working on a paint project, you can play an essential role in helping youth be successful.

Our volunteer service hours during the school year are Monday-Friday 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the summer our volunteer hours are 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Workshop Assistant

Whether you enjoy sports, yoga, drama, crafts or can lead a program on career readiness or leadership, our youth love learning new things.
College/Career Speaker

Help youth discover their passion by sharing your career path and college experiences.
Teen Speaker

Spend time getting to know and building trust by regularly volunteering at our program location to help with character building, leadership skills activities, and be a positive role model.
Mentor

Spend time getting to know and building trust by regularly volunteering at our program location to help with character building, leadership skills activities, and be a positive role model.
Program Assistant

Work regularly at one of our program location as an assistant to the program facilitator.
Share Your Career/Life Story

Speak with youth about how circumstances in your life or work relate to our programs, our circumstances has changed your life.
Homework Assistant

Volunteers assist students with school assignments and projects. Students work individually or in small groups to complete their homework or work on projects.
Internship

Provide our youth with an internship opportunity with your company that will give them the hands on experience in the workforce.
Community Outreach

Volunteer will provide service to community and who might not have access to the organization and reaching out and meeting those in need of our services.
Tutor Assistant

Volunteers tutor students at our Tutor Me Tuesday's program. Students work individually or in small groups.
Field Trip/Chaperones

Ride along with us for exciting learning experiences and opportunities.
Committee Member

Share your talents and resources to work on special events and projects. Committees include: Santa's Workshop, Events, Workshops, Fund Development, Marketing, and other special projects.
