Felisha Burleson, Program Director "Teen Zone" : Felisha Burleson joined Youth Empowered for Success in September 2018. Felisha is currently the Director of Teen Zone for the organization, her passion for empowering youth and teens to achieve their fullest potential. As a foster care alumnus, she has seen her share of obstacles. In lieu of challenges, she created the Patchwork Society, an organization designed to change outcomes for foster care alumni in her community.
Felisha will serve as the Director of Teen Zone and will assist in implementing YES’s vision to “Invest, Mentor, Teach, Nourish and Build underprivileged youth and teens in Dallas County.
Felisha graduated with an undergraduate and master’s degree in Sociology from Texas Women’s University, some of her expertise include employment and financial coaching, service consultation, continuing education courses and college/career readiness. Her ultimate goal is to Provide youth with tools and resources to enable higher success rates.
